On this day (March 25) the following two "Chase"-related items appeared in "The Boston Daily Evening Transcript": - - - - - - - - - - - - In the 25 March 1850 issue: The poultry mania is raging in such a degree in the towns around Boston, that several gentlemen who are extensively engaged in the raising of the feathered bipeds, have applied to Chase to have some of their finest specimens daguerreotyped. * * * * * * * * In the 25 March 1851 issue: L. G. CHASE. DAGUERREIAN ARTIST, 247 WASHINGTON STREET. If better likenesses can be produced than I can take, mine will be given gratis.
